GONG XI GONG XI
Just got back from my Hong Kong and San Francisco trip. Have been resting for two days in Singapore. Facts are familiar to me; I am heading to Moscow and Houston the day after tomorrow. My packing is now in progress. The coldest winter months at Moscow fall between November and mid-April. The temperature at Moscow is still minus degree for its winter. In order to protect myself against the raging cold temperature, I bought a pair of winter boots from Universal Traveler yesterday. Fortunately, I’d got my sizes for a pair of them. All the boots I used to have would have just stayed pretty as they have no use for keeping me warm enough! Packing and unpacking for a winter trip is not as easy as a summer trip. The practical skills needed in both. My patience towards them is inexhaustible! (Bravo!!!)
My San Francisco trip was fun. My very last trip before this was long time ago. I had my appetizing crabs at Fisherman's Wharf, this place does have a very savory reputation for its crabs! And not to miss out, Cheese Cake Factory for its cheese cakes, definitely! I did quite a lot of shopping as well for this trip. (Just can't help... You know...)
believe it or not, i finished the whole portion myself eventually
My trip at Hong Kong was delightful: friends, food and shopping! My Hong Kong trip is always fun with Miaw Miaw, and this time with her family too! Italian-American cuisine at Amaroni's Little Italy to Dim Sum at 'Mu Dan' with my traveling companions to New Year lunch at Miaw's place, a delectable meal at 'Tang Cao' with Jason till my favourite mango desserts, and my shopping shopping and shopping… Looking at my “war trophies”, wow… I am just too fortunate to have them all! It proved worthwhile to make the trip!

i ordered Prosciutto Wrapped Salmon,

Better Feb
Before I made up my mind, I just wanted to do something fun this month. Coming 14th is not only Valentine’s Day, also first day of the Chinese New Year. My CNY celebrations for the past few years weren’t with my family. This is called enormous sacrifice that I have to make for this job. In the end, I just have to ask myself weather it’s certainly worth it. ( I promised to make it worth my while…)
I’ve changed my flight from South Korea – Seoul to Hong Kong. I don’t have any idea if Koreans do celebrate CNY as well. In order to play it safe, I’d rather fly to Hong Kong. Although, I will be still on duty, 8 days: SIN-HKG-SFO-HKG-SIN, I just can’t wait to be there to meet Miaw Miaw, my best ‘Hong-Kie-pal’! I believe I will share more after the entire trip. Apparently, it will be an exciting and a memorable one on the day I reach Hong Kong from San Francisco!
One more thing, wherever I am, packing and unpacking are my routine procedure. And, I have to proceed now. bye!

Bonnie's BIG BIG Day
One word to describe the wedding – grand!
You’d have no idea what delight her wedding gave me. It is somehow hard to believe that Bonnie is no longer the pretty little girl down the street, but she is old enough to be married. (It reminds us our age.) My dear friend Bonnie got married, and too that to such a wonderful man! And, I think he’s a mighty lucky fellow! Forever, they both have my best wishes for a long and happy life together! The wedding banquet was a treat to be remembered forever. It has been long since the days when we all were in college together. My visit meant a great deal to me, permitting us, as it did to catch up on the years between – and that isn’t always easy! I was glad to be there. In fact, I meet up with Bonnie at J.B often but not to the rest. By writing this, first, it is pleasant to express appreciation for such a pleasure to meet all of them again! Second, in writing, I live over again an evening so delightful that I like to recall it as often as possible.
Congratulations again!
Dear friends, thanks again! Do take care, good wishes for the future!

First Case of Swine Flu in Singapore
SINGAPORE (AFP) – A 22-year-old Singaporean woman who returned from New York has tested positive for swine flu, in the city-state's first confirmed case, the Ministry of Health said.
"Singapore has confirmed its first case of influenza A(H1N1)," the ministry said in a statement.
It said the patient was being treated at a communicable disease centre and was in a stable condition.
The woman was in New York from May 14-24, returning on a Singapore Airlines flight on Tuesday, during which she developed a cough.
The ministry said all her "close contacts" will be quarantined and provided with antiviral medication.

A Beautiful Day
Today, a better day. Such a beautiful day to me. Received a strawberry ice-cream cake from Mr. Tan, wishing me happy birthday in advance. Thank you so much!
Enjoyed a meal with my family and relatives. Received ang paos from them also, was just a kind of birthday celebration and birthday gifts from them. So sweet of them, treated me like a big child. Hohoho… I’m growing up!
Had my manicure and pedicure in the evening! I tried the new colour instead of sticking at the very red in colour. I was simply in a light-hearted mood after that.
See, I went for good food again with my sis at Kinsahi! Am still busy packing here. Tomorrow early morning, I am leaving for

Her Wedding Banquet
Today is the red letter day, Cindy’s wedding day! The night was special and memorable. From their wedding shot, thanked photographer, captured their real moment in the real time. Indeed, a beautiful gown in shades of white denoting the fairy tales. Plus, a selection of elegant accessories is just nice to complement the look as a beautiful bride.
Thank Cindy for her wedding dinner, simultaneously I managed to meet with friends who were actually out of contact for years beyond a certain distance. We all drank a toast to the bride and groom.
Some of my earliest and best memories of growing up are of my childhood friends from Sabah. I couldn’t imagine the prospect of settling down and becoming devoted to her husband in a friend, same age with me.
However, I’m still inclining in laziness and idleness. I’m still taking delight in ensuring certain qualities in my future ideal husband, who fits the bill! Hopefully, I’ll soon catch her up! =)
By looking at her happy smile on the stage, I guess, her dream has come true.

Congrats!
Have just got a call from Doreen, announcing that her application for studying overseas has been approved, finally! I know that she has been making painstaking efforts to learn Japanese language and making loads of efforts to get the chance to pursue her studies at
